First Blog...

So the wife has asked me to writea blog. I've stopped for about neary 2 years now. I have 3 other blogs but they've all become dormant. So I thought, why not? Just write something about daily activities as well as my thoughts.
And I'll be blogging mostly about the next exciting phase in our life together and that's having a baby.

For now, I think I'll just pick up on how all this came about.

Several weeks ago, or to be precise, about 1 month back on 25th May, my wife brought up the idea of getting tested for our fertility. She said we might as well know if we could have a kid and make sure she was ovulating and I wasn't shooting blanks (literally meaning that there were no swimmers in the milk).
We went to the hospital on 6th June, just after the King's birthday, to get tested. Our OBGYN is Dr. Eric Soh. He said the wife was fine, but no eggs were present at that moment. He indicated that perhaps the egg would be due along the next one to two days.
As for me, I had to go to Level 5 to do "my business" to provide sperm for analysis. And it was not easy for me. I was feeling like a lab rat, and this made me more stress. The toilet condition was not helping and neither did the DVDs as well. I was in the room for about 45 minutes before I decided to take a break and let someone else have the room. The guy was done in like 15 minutes. So I went back inside, tried to think of something good and get myself done in about 10-15 minutes. Ya, I managed to get "done" after 10 minutes and passed my sample to the nurse who told us to call back in 2 hours. I wasn't sure if my 1 day abstinence (we had "poked" on Saturday evening) and the stressfulness of the process would impact the quality of my sample.
Anyhow, after that was done, we paid the bill and went home.
